Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie, born on November 24, 1981 is an American political commentator. She was a former politician, as well a television host on MSNBC and a frequent contributor for The Huffington Post, and former cohost of The Hill’s Rising together with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball announced in the month of May that they would be leaving the show to launch their own show, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has made guest appearances on various networks, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball credits her ongoing interest in politics to her experiences as a new mother during the primaries of 2008. She also followed the US presidential election from Jordan as she was working in Jordan. She was able to observe the impact it had on people in her country and developed an appreciation for the worldwide reach of US politics. She was a Senior Fellowship member of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st district. She lost to Rob Wittman in 2010. From June 2012 through July 2015, she hosted The Cycle, an MSNBC show The Cycle. She was co-hosting the MSNBC show The Cycle from June 2012 until July 2015.
